About the Chain of Title Abstract

As an important part of environmental due diligence, Chain of Title abstracts are produced to identify past ownership of properties, potential business types that may imply environmental concerns, AUL’s, deed restrictions and environmental liens.

ERS will research deeds at the appropriate county recorder to identify the past owners of a property and provide you with a report showing the ownership chain.

Main Features of the Report

  • The Chain of Title Abstract provides you with a report on the ownership history of a property for the last 50 years.
  • Includes a list of transactions, dates, and parties involved as well as the legal description of the site.
  • Copies of the deeds can be provided for an additional charge.
